PRIVACY POLICY — TCM EDUCATION

TCM Education ("we", "us", "our", or "Company") recognises the importance of maintaining your privacy. We value your trust and are committed to ensuring transparent data practices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website (tcmeducation.in), our mobile application TCM EDUCATION (iOS, Android), and our other digital platforms and services.
By using the TCM EDUCATION Platform, you agree and consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure and sharing of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use or access the Platform.
Name, Email, Phone Number, Address, and login credentials (username/password or social sign-in).
In-App Purchases (iOS): When you purchase exam packages or subscriptions through the Apple App Store's In-App Purchase (IAP) system, all payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple Inc. We do NOT collect or store your credit card numbers, expiry dates, or complete card details on our servers. What we do collect: the transaction ID from Apple, the package/subscription ID purchased, purchase date and amount, the user ID associated with the purchase, and receipt validation tokens (used solely to verify legitimate purchases). Payment information is transmitted securely through Apple's encrypted servers, and we validate purchases through Apple's App Store Server API.
Web purchases: For purchases made through our website, billing name, address and payment method are collected. We never collect your credit card number or expiry date on our website — this is handled by our payment partner, Razorpay.
Test attempts, scores, and performance analytics; study progress and time spent in the app; device information (OS version, device type, app version); browser type, IP address, timestamps; and cookies or similar technologies.
Which packages/tests you've purchased, your answers and performance data, your subscription status and validity period, and notes/bookmarks within the app.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time via iOS Settings → TCM EDUCATION. Denying a permission does not affect your ability to use the core app.
Test category (CAT, CLAT, IPMAT, BBA, etc.), study goals and timeline, performance preferences, and communication preferences (email, SMS, push notifications).
Analytics data from Firebase/Mixpanel, information from social sign-in providers if you choose to sign in with an SNS account, and referral source information.
We use your information to: process in-app purchases and validate subscriptions; provide access to exam content based on your package; track your progress and generate performance analytics; send study reminders and notifications; verify Apple IAP receipts and manage subscription records; analyse usage to improve our product and identify technical issues; send transactional communications (purchase confirmations, subscription status); and detect and prevent fraud or unauthorised access. We do not use any of this information to make decisions that would be considered automated profiling with legal effect.

If you purchased via the Apple App Store, refund requests must be made through Apple. Since our packages are non-recurring (1-year validity, no auto-renewal), you may request a refund within 48 hours of purchase if you have not accessed the content. We cannot process refunds directly — all refunds are handled by Apple.
To request a refund: open the App Store app → Account → Purchase History → find the TCM EDUCATION purchase → tap "Report a Problem" or "Request Refund" → select a reason and submit. You can also visit Apple's refund request page directly.
Full details are also published separately at tcmeducation.in/iap-terms. In short: all prices are shown before purchase with no hidden charges; you get full access to the purchased package for 365 days; there is no auto-renewal; refunds are available within 48 hours of purchase through Apple and are non-refundable after that window; and we never store your credit card details — all payments are processed and secured by Apple.
All data transmitted to our servers uses HTTPS/TLS 1.2+ encryption, and user data at rest is encrypted (AES-256) on our cloud infrastructure. Our payment processing partners are PCI-DSS compliant, and we never store card data — sensitive billing information is tokenised. Authentication uses secure tokens rather than storing plain passwords, access for our team is role-based, and we run regular security audits with automated monitoring for suspicious transactions. Apple's IAP system independently uses industry-leading encryption and fraud detection for all in-app payments.
Please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; while we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will not: share your credit card or payment details with third parties, share your personal answers or test responses with anyone, share your performance data with other students, or share your contact information with marketing partners unless you've opted in.
We may also disclose information where required by court order or legal subpoena, in response to a lawful government request, for fraud detection and prevention, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users.

To delete your account, open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm the deletion. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except records we are legally required to retain (see retention table above). If you are unable to access the app, you may alternatively email tcm.education14@gmail.com with the subject "Delete My TCM Education Account", including your registered email and user ID.
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, export your test scores and performance reports, update your profile information at any time in the app, request deletion of your account, and opt out of non-essential communications. Email tcm.education14@gmail.com with the subject "Data Access Request" to exercise these rights. Note that you cannot opt out of purchase confirmations, subscription status updates, or important security notices, as these are transactional. You can disable analytics tracking via iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking → toggle off "Allow Tracking".
TCM Education is intended for users aged 13 and above, in line with Apple's App Store guidelines. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we discover a user is under 13, we will delete their account. For users aged 13–17, we recommend parental guidance even though parental consent is not separately required for this educational service. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, contact us immediately at tcm.education14@gmail.com.
We use cookies to remember your login session and preferences; these are stored locally on your device and not shared with third parties. We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage patterns, using data that is anonymised and aggregated — you can opt out via iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking. Our website (tcmeducation.in) may use Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics, which you can block through your browser settings or a privacy extension.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, and we comply with the Information Technology Act 2000, the Information Technology Rules 2000 (Privacy Rule 43A), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 as it becomes applicable.
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers located in India, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Mumbai (ap-south-1) region as our primary cloud provider. AWS is ISO 27001 certified and maintains security measures designed to protect against loss, misuse, and unauthorised alteration of information; details are available at aws.amazon.com/compliance. AWS's own privacy and security practices are detailed at aws.amazon.com/privacy. Payment data related to in-app purchases is processed through Apple's secure global infrastructure. We do not transfer your personal data outside India without your explicit consent.

Our app and website may contain links to external websites (competition forums, educational blogs, etc.). We are not responsible for third-party websites' privacy practices, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to external links. Please read the privacy policy of any third-party site before sharing your information with it.
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion of your data, opt out of data sharing (we do not sell data), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Contact tcm.education14@gmail.com.
European users (GDPR): while our primary compliance is with Indian law, if you are located in the EU you have the right to request access, deletion, and portability of your data, and we will honour GDPR deletion requests. Contact us if you need a Data Processing Agreement.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Security-related updates or changes required to comply with law take effect immediately. For other material changes, we will email you at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

We aim to respond to all privacy requests within 15–30 days.
What we do: securely process your payments through Apple, encrypt your data in transit and at rest, retain test data until 90 days after subscription expiry, comply with Indian data protection law, and give you control over your data.
What we don't do: store your credit card details, sell your data to advertisers, track you across other apps without opt-in, access your files without permission, or share your test answers with other users.
By using the TCM EDUCATION app, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
